Enter the information of the applicant, plaintiffs and defendants.

Fill in the claim details and attach the required documents.

Submit the application.

The client is sent an application number for tracking through the Najiz portal - Statement of claim service.


National ID, Iqama (residence permit), Visitor ID, or Mutamir (pilgrim) ID

Steps

The client’s application is verified. If it is accepted, the client is sent an SMS including the case number and the name of the assigned judicial panel.

2

If the application is found to be incomplete, the client is sent an SMS requesting completion.


The service does not require visiting the court in person unless the client is asked to do so via an SMS.

This stage is related to referral of the case to the judicial panel and the rendering of judgment.

Challenging the judgment
The case is received by the assigned judicial panel.
The client is sent an SMS stating the hearing date. The client can also find out the hearing date by logging into the Najiz portal.
The judicial hearings are held.
If the hearings are postponed, the client is sent an SMS stating the new hearing date. The client can also find out the hearing date through the Najiz portal.
If a judgment is reached, the client is sent an SMS stating the date for receiving the judgment.
The judgment is rendered by the judicial panel
The judgment is sent electronically through an SMS. It can be viewed by logging into the Najiz portal.
If the judgment is enforceable, the requirements for the enforcement application can be completed through the Najiz portal. If the judgment is non-enforceable, it is considered final.

Steps

1

Log into the Najiz portal and select the case from the list of cases.

Click on “Applications” and select “Challenging a judgment.”

3

Submit the application.

The client receives an SMS stating that the application has been referred to the appellate court at the end of the time limit for appeal.

Track the application status from the list of applications.


National ID, Iqama (residence permit), Visitor ID, or Mutamir (pilgrim) ID
The judgment must be challengeable.
A valid power of attorney providing for “pleading” and “appealing” if the applicant is the client’s legal representative or a party to the case.
For commercial cases, the person filing the appeal must be an attorney with a valid license under the Law of Commercial Courts.
A valid guardianship certificate if the applicant is the client’s guardian.
Non-final judgment from a first-instance court. The case must not be a small claim.
Enter the appeal statement in the provided space and attach the supporting documents.
The case is referred to the judicial panel.

Appealing to the Supreme Court

This stage enables the plaintiff, the defendant or their legal representatives to appeal the appellate court judgment to the Supreme Court.

Click on “Applications” and select “Appeal to the Supreme Court”

Submit the application.

The client receives an SMS stating that the application has been referred to the Supreme Court at the end of the time limit for appeal.

Track the application status from the list of applications.

The client receives a message stating the decision of the Supreme Court.
If the decision is “affirmation,” the appellate court judgment is automatically appended with the Supreme Court decision. The client is notified with an SMS, and can also view the judgment with the appendix through the Najiz portal.
If the decision is “objection dismissed,” the appellate court judgment is automatically appended with the Supreme Court decision. The client is notified with an SMS, and can also view the judgment with the appendix through the Najiz portal.
If the decision is “reversal,” the appellate court judgment is automatically appended with the Supreme Court decision. The client is notified with an SMS, and can also view the judgment with the appendix through the Najiz portal. The case whose judgment has been reversed is referred to another judicial panel for rehearing.
